House of Modern Vintage is a New Orleans–based home and design shop built around the idea that the best interiors feel collected over time.

Our assortment brings together vintage and antique finds, distinctive new pieces, art, lighting, books, and objects for the home—chosen for their character, craftsmanship, and ability to make a room feel a little more interesting. We love the unexpected mix: something old beside something new, something formal beside something playful, and pieces that feel special without feeling overly precious.

House of Modern Vintage began more than a decade ago and has taken several forms along the way, from a design blog to a vintage rental collection. For years, it remained a side project while I built my New Orleans floral design business, Leaf + Petal.

In 2020, after losing my mother, I found myself drawn back to interiors and collecting. She was an incredibly talented interior designer and the person who first taught me to appreciate beautiful things, old things, and homes that tell a story. Returning to House of Modern Vintage felt like a natural way to reconnect with that part of my life—and, in many ways, to create something she would have loved.

Today, I source pieces from New Orleans and beyond, working with vintage dealers, artisans, makers, and vendors both in the U.S. and abroad. Everything is selected individually with the same philosophy: I only want to offer things I would be excited to bring into a home myself.

Our studio is based in Uptown New Orleans, and we ship our collection to homes across the country.
